All Ornaments Made From One Piece of Wood.
Today we visited the Idaho State Fair. It was the last day and we promised Kendra that we would come and see her show her horse Stormy in the costume competition. She won 1st place last year and third place this year. Her costume is amazing and she should have won 1st again but you just never know who the judge is going to pick. We had a little time to kill before she showed Stormy. We walked around the buildings to see all the competition items. Naturally I was drawn to the crafts exhibits. I have absolutely no skills or patience for quilting but adore and greatly admire the quilts. This year’s theme at the fair was “Poultry in Motion” so many of the items entered were based on this theme. I loved the chicken quilts. I also spied on the cross stitch entries, decorative gourds, scrapbook and card entries etc. Thank heavens the weather today was only in the high 80’s as it was very sunny and dusty at the fair. We also had some ice cream and watched the Splash Dogs go flying into the water. Who knows maybe next year I will enter some crafts into the fair. It might be fun to see if I have the right stuff!
