Craft stores switch out their stock as new seasonal merchandise rolls into the store each month. Although I love seeing the new trends, colors and styles that appear paper crafting can be an expensive medium depending on how much of it you do. I use double sided card stock for cards, scrapbooking, Letterbox Trading Cards etc. Double sided card stock that is of a substantial weight (not flimsy) can range from .99 to $1.49 per sheet.
Yesterday I stopped at Craft Warehouse for a shadow box. As I was passing the paper crafting area I noted that they had multiple boxes full of clearance card stock priced at 4 for $1.00 or .25 cents each. I didn’t have a lot of time but felt it was worth 5 minutes to quickly thumb through the papers. At that price your crafting dollar can really stretch. In total I purchased 42 printed double sided sheets of card stock for $10.50. In some cases I purchased multiple sheets of one pattern.
In the pictures above I only photographed one side of the papers. Some of the brands I purchased were Jillibean Soup, Pinkpaislee, My Mind’s Eye, Graphic 45, BoBunny and Tapestry. Theme’s included Once Upon a Spring Time, Steampunk, Le Cirque, Welcome Home, The Magic of Oz, On the Bright Side, Queen Bee and Apple Cider. I would really encourage others to take the time to stop when you see these types of deals at your local craft stores. Even if you are buying off season it is worth stashing away for future artistic endeavors.
