Last week I received two calls from my church family. One to make treats for a Ladies Tea next Saturday and one to make Flower Cupcakes for a baby shower on the same day. I have never made tiny cupcakes before or as I named them Baby Cakes. One thing I learned very quickly was that you make about a million of them at a time. I was offered payment for both baking jobs but I have asked both individuals to make donations to two different charities in my name instead. I am asking the ladies tea to make a donation to Compassion's Bite Back and End Malaria fundraiser: http://biteback.net/ and I have asked Kay to make a donation to Heifer International: http://www.heifer.org/ I will be donating the supplies, ingredients and my time. It seemed like a great way to support charities that I contribute to.
