Cards for a Neighbor

A neighbor of ours recently stopped me and shared with me that she had been able to recycle one of the cards I had made for her in the past. She had to attend a funeral and wanted a card that was handmade vs. store bought. She told with me that she received a call from the family member who she had given the card to and they didn't comment about her kind words or offers to help but about how much the card meant to the family. During our MADE study at church last Sunday we discussed a lot about gifts and how to we use them. I thought it would be a good use of my paper and glue skills to make her some cards that she is not expecting. This way when she needs one she will not need to recycle any. I made her 8 cards total (4 of each design). I basically created the same layout and changed the images and embellishments. Naturally using one of my favorite sets of stamps. I have decided that you can never have enough Inkadinkado stamps! The set I used tonight is the Gem Stone Birds.
They are reasonably priced at $9.99 but I used a coupon at JoAnn Fabrics and got them for 40% off. I am looking forward to stopping by and delivering the cards tomorrow. It's so wonderful to give an unexpected gift to someone. I hope she likes them.
